President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Bashiru Aina as the new Registrar of JAMB, succeeding Professor Ishaq Oloyede.

According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Aina is a Professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University with vast experience in digital infrastructure, examination systems, and institutional reforms.
He holds degrees from the University of Kent and Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, alongside over 15 years of experience advising governments and examination bodies on ICT systems and exam integrity.
The Presidency described him as one of Nigeria’s youngest professors in Computer Engineering and stated that he will become the youngest Registrar in JAMB’s history.
President Tinubu expressed confidence that Aina would build on the achievements recorded under Oloyede’s administration.
