The outgoing Vice-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, has called on the university community to exercise faith and trust in God for the emergence of his successor.

Addressing staff and students at the final MOUAU PRAYS session of his tenure, held on February 3, 2026, Prof. Iwe acknowledged concerns regarding the delay in announcing his successor, reassuring the community that the process is ongoing.
"I encourage you to have confidence in God... He does not change," Prof. Iwe stated, expressing his confidence in the Governing Council's ability to conclude the selection process successfully.
The session concluded with prayers for a seamless transition and the appointment of a God-fearing 7th Vice-Chancellor.
