Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has again missed out on winning a Grammy Award, extending his run of nominations without a win to five.

Davido was nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards, which were held on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. His song "With You," which features Omah Lay, was nominated, but Davido did not win. Along with Burna Boy's "Love," "Gimme Dat" by Ayra Starr with Wizkid, "Hope & Love" by Uganda's Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin, and South Africa's Tyla's "PUSH 2 START," Davido's "With You" was nominated for the award.
The Recording Academy honoured artists across nearly 100 categories at the 68th annual Grammy Awards, ranging from Album of the Year to Best New Artist.
The ceremony, which was hosted by Trevor Noah and aired on CBS and Paramount+, featured performances by Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Davido's most recent loss adds to a long list of previous Grammys setbacks.
He was nominated for three Grammy Awards in 2024: Best Global Music Album for Timeless, Best African Music Performance for Musa Keys' "Unavailable," and Best Global Music Performance for "Feel."
He also missed out at the 67th Grammy Awards in 2025, where his song “Sensational,” a collaboration with Chris Brown and Lojay, lost the Best African Music Performance award to Tems’ “Love Me JeJe.”
