Government representatives resumed discussions with ASUU on Monday and Tuesday in a closing-minute attempt to forestall any other nationwide college strike.

Tension has intensified across public universities as ASUU’s one-month ultimatum to the Federal Government expired on Saturday. The union has repeatedly accused the authorities of indifference closer to its long-standing demands, warning that a strike remains a robust choice if the problems are not without a doubt addressed.

The outcome of Wednesday’s (today) NEC meeting will determine whether the academic calendar stabilizes or the state’s university device faces yet some other disruption.
