We won't meet again to discuss it because the union already has a firm position. By midnight on Monday, a two-week warning strike will commence.
After its expiration, we will reconvene to determine when to begin a comprehensive and indefinite strike.

The core issues remain the same. The 2009 agreement's re-negotiation has been postponed for more than a decade without reaching a satisfactory conclusion.
Nigerians ought to be aware that this action is not impulsive or ill-timed; rather, it is the result of years of dialogue, unfulfilled promises, and government inaction. We have been patient.
The government once asked for three weeks to respond, but nothing has been said so far.
We have no choice but to continue this pattern of silence and neglect on a regular basis.

Strikes are not something ASUU enjoys. However, industrial action becomes the last resort when agreements are broken and all other means of communication have been exhausted.
The truth is abundantly clear: the government appears to speak only in strike language.
