34 students have been kicked out of the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology in Wudil, Kano State, for cheating on exams.
Additionally, the school suspended 13 others for a single academic session and sent warning letters to a number of others.

This information was provided to IG Keys Blog on Friday by the university's Head of Information, Publications, and Public Relations Unit, Abdullahi Datti.
The statement says that the disciplinary actions were taken after the university senate at its 123rd meeting on October 9, 2025, approved the report from the Examinations Regulations and Irregularities Committee.
According to the statement, "The report includes recommendations for various punishments for students who were found to have engaged in examination malpractice."
In the meantime, the university has established a Centre for Equipment Maintenance to improve the upkeep of academic and research tools across its faculties and their functionality.
The statement says that the center will set up schedules for preventive maintenance, offer equipment repair services, and hold regular training for staff and students on how to use and maintain basic equipment.
The appointment of Dr. Murtala Dambatta of the Department of Mechanical Engineering as the pioneer Director of the center has been approved by Prof. Musa Yakasai, the university's Vice-Chancellor.
