Hon. Comr Godson Somtochukwu hails form Enugu state and grew up in Anambra state with his family.

Somtochukwu's political career began in 2021 at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, where he served in various roles, including Personal Assistant to the 28th SUG Secretary General and Press Member under the 29th Union Public Relations Officer.
He is the current President of the National Council of Enugu State Students and has previously served as a Honorable Member under the leadership of Fortune Ikpeama Aladuru in the 30th administration.
Somtochukwu's leadership style is characterized by his ability to build relationships, make sacrifices for the greater good, and understand the financial constraints of his fellow students.
