A controversy is brewing at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), as hundreds of 300Level Microbiology students are being forced to rewrite an examination due to alleged exam malpractice by a 400Level student.
According to reports, the incident occurred during a recent exam, prompting authorities to invalidate the examination.

The Department of Microbiology has announced that the exam will be rewritten on Saturday, 7th February 2026, citing the need to uphold academic integrity.
Many students are expressing frustration and disappointment, with one student asking, "It's not our fault, why should we be punished?" The university has assured students that the matter is being investigated and necessary actions will be taken.
The rewrite is scheduled for Saturday, with details on time and venue wasn't disclosed to IG KEYS blog.
Students are urged to cooperate, with officials emphasizing the importance of maintaining academic standards.
All these things are medicine after death because those students even if they rewrite it 10 times they will still do malpractice
ReplyDeleteThis happened in my Department, besides, I am a 300 level microbiologist.. if only Ohale has Reported the incident to our college Dean or my HOD, it would have been settled Amicably rather than punishing more than 400 students because of a crime an individual committed. I'm not happy with this, but I pray God comes through for us.
ReplyDeleteIf only she had reported to the College DEAN, or even my HOD. She is no longer the College Examination officer, but the reason why she still want to prove that the current COLNAS examination officer doesn't know his work is what I find so difficult to understand.
