The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has resigned his appointment with instantaneous effect.
His resignation changed into contained in a letter addressed to President Tinubu and dated December 1.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed this to a Media house on Monday.
The presidential spokesman stated Abubakar resigned on fitness grounds.

Onanuga stated President Tinubu widely wide-spread Abubakar’s resignation and thanked him for his services to the country.
According to sources inside the presidency, Tinubu will in all likelihood tell the Senate of Badaru’s successor within the week.
