The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has summoned chairpersons and key leaders from its university chapters nationwide to Abuja for a crucial National Executive Council meeting.
A close ASUU source has also revealed to IG KEYS BLOG that the union has named the assembly as critical, and it's far taking area today on the Festus Lyayi Building on the University of Abuja.
The meeting is expected to determine the union's next steps, with ASUU's demands including the review and implementation of the 2009 ASUU-FG agreement, payment of outstanding salaries and earned allowances, and the release of funds for university revitalization
