Rt. Hon. Gabriel Chukwudike, a proud son of Ikwuano LGA, Abia State, was elected as the Speaker of the Students Union Government (SUG) of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.
He won the election with 35 votes out of 54 house members present, defeating Hon. Ikwujibe John who garnered 19 votes.

The victory marks a significant achievement.
The election took place on August 21, 2025 at the SUG chamber, and Rt. Hon. Chukwudike unveiled his official portrait on September 29, 2025 as he appreciate his new role as a leader.
