Yesterday being Thursday, 12th August 2025 a new leadership of Student's Union Government, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike were inuagrated, led by Honorable Nwogu Bright Chinonyerem (Addison).
The swearing in took place at Anyim pius Anyim auditorium at exactly 3pm which was a successfully ceremony.
During the swearing in of the elected officials of Students’ Union Government (SUG), Prof. Maduebisi Ofo Iwe, the vice chancellor charged the in SUG officials to be transparent, diligent and law-abiding in the discharge of their duties.
He urged the new SUG officials to continue the good legacy of the outgoing administration.
He also added that all colleges in the university community will be equipped with electronic devices to ensure smooth education system.
The Students Union Government, president Honorable Nwogu Bright Chinonyerem assured the students community during his speech that his government will be transperent, credible and accountable.
He also assured that there will be peace in and off campus and the welfare of the students will be paramount.
