Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike branch staged a peaceful protest today been Tuesday.
The protest was led by Prof. Michael Ugwuene, the chairman ASUU MOUAU, calling out the Federal Government to implement the renegotiated 2009 agreement.
Lecturers staged protests with placards, warning of an indefinite strike if issues of funding, salaries, and withheld pay remain unresolved.
The protest is a call on the government to urgently address the issue immediately.
