Again, Bandits Kill Three, Injure Others In Plateau Community





Armed bandits have another time struck a network in Chakfem Chiefdom of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing 3 human beings and injuring  others.

Public Relations Officer of the Mwaghavul Development Association, MDA, Friday Derwam, who confirmed the incident in a cellphone chat with with our correspondent on Monday, stated the bandits, suspected to be Fulani militias, invaded the Mwar community inside the chiefdom between Saturday night and Sunday morning, and additionally succeeded in rustling cattles belonging to the natives after overpowering the neighborhood vigilantes product of up Mwaghavul youths.


The MDA spokesperson stated the attack was unprovoked as the closely armed invaders opened fireplace at the unsuspecting youths, killing 3 right away and wounding  others.

He referred to that, opposite to significant reviews that the attack was a reprisal, there was no proof to suggest that the natives had achieved earlier attacks to warrant a reprisal.

“It’s difficult to realize the identities of the farm animals rustlers due to the fact cattle rustling is an organised crime. All we recognize is that the ones killed had been Mwaghavul youths. For now, the vicinity is calm,” Derwam stated, including that the incident has been mentioned to protection businesses inside the area.

Another resident who also showed the attack, stated the network is presently deserted because the citizens fled for protection.

“The state of affairs is sad whilst anywhere is tended. The community is deserted as residents have fled to neighbouring villages, unsure while the bandits will strike once more.

“Chakfem has become the brand new haven of attacks by these bandits and we're calling on security agencies to heighten their surveillance in Chakfem,” he stated.
