Controversy Arises Over Suspension Of UNN SUG President Amongst Others

The suspension of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Students' Union Government (SUG) President, Comr. Ozoagu Chinedu Godswill, and other union members has sparked controversy among the student community.

The suspension, announced in a letter dated September 15, 2025, cites allegations of cultism, threat to life, gross misconduct, and financial impropriety.

Some sources argue the suspension is invalid and baseless, citing a lack of investigation report to support the allegations. Others claim the suspension stands after a motion was seconded for the members to be suspended indefinitely.

The student community is divided on the issue, with some expressing support for the suspended president and others backing the decision.

The situation is still unfolding, and more details are expected to emerge as the student community continues to react to the suspension.
