The SUG president and other house members have been suspended by the Students Union Government at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka until further notice.
In a letter dated September 15, 2025, the union informed the university community that the action was in line with the decision made by Union members due to alleged cultism, a threat to life, misappropriation of funds and gross misconduct.
The letter read:"The leadership of the house of representatives of the students union government University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) wishes to formally notify the university security agencies, as well as all relevant stakeholders, of the indefinite suspension of the SUG president, Comr. Ozoagu Chinedu God's will, along with the following members of the union leadership:
Hon. Ihentuge Rejoice (Deputy speaker)
Hon. Emmanuel Asadu Chigozie
Hon Agbo Sobechukwu Malachy
Hon. Chukwu Uchenna Dorathy
Hon. Obetta Sochima Lucky
Hon Ekwe Victor C
Hon. Chinonso Edmond Solomon Hon Chukwuma JohnPaul Chukwuebuka (SSA)
"Pending the outcome of a comprehensive investigation into grave allegations of misconduct".
This letter was signed by the Students Union Government, Speaker R.T Hon Eze Ikechukwu Peter, along side the Union clerk Hon. Onah Joshua Chidozie.
