Former Vice President and 2023 PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, says his priority is Nigeria’s progress, not his personal ambition to become president.
Speaking through Prof. Ola Olateju of Achievers University at an affirmation ceremony for new defectors into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos on Saturday, Atiku said he recently left the PDP alongside other opposition leaders to join ADC, which he described as “a movement for a better Nigeria.”
“It’s not about Atiku being president at all costs. What matters is building a good government that can deliver for Nigerians,” Olateju said on his behalf.
